The Portland Pirates are proud to support Youth Hockey! The Portland Pirates offer memorable opportunities to Youth Hockey programs by participating in on-ice events at the Cumberland County Civic Center! From pre-game skates, intermission games, shootouts and player appearances to your very own hockey practices we will give your youth hockey players the chance to be a Portland Pirate!

Dunkin’ Donuts Future Stars

Pre-Game Program

The Pirates are once again offering youth hockey teams the opportunity to play for a full fifty (50) minutes before a Pirates home game. Use of the ice is at the discretion of the group (i.e. open skate, organized game, etc.). If a game is to be played, the group is responsible for supplying all necessary equipment (i.e. pucks, sticks, etc.), a timekeeper, any necessary officials, etc.

• Minimum fifty (50) ticket purchase at $12 per ticket
• Fifty (50) minutes of ice will be provided before a scheduled Pirates home game
• Everyone in your group will be seated together
• Teams will receive videoboard recognition during the game
• Each youth hockey player will receive a FREE Dunkin’ Donuts Future Stars Official T-shirt (subject to availability)
• Pre-game ice times are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis

Intermission Game OR Shootout

Have your Youth Hockey team participate on ice at a Pirates home game!

The Portland Pirates are proud to offer youth hockey teams the opportunity to skate during the first intermission of a Pirates home game. This is a great opportunity for friends and family to cheer on their favorite youth hockey player as they take the ice in front of thousands of fans at a Pirates game. A true thrill for the kid in all of us!

• Kids get to create the tunnel for the Pirates players to skate through before hitting the ice!
• A Private tour of the Portland Pirates Locker Room!
• Choice of a 5-minute game OR a Shootout on-ice during the first intermission of a Pirates home game! (Two goalies required for game and shootout)
• Everyone in your group will be seated together
• Teams will receive videoboard recognition during the game
• Each player will receive a Dunkin’ Donuts Future Stars Official T-shirt (subject to availability)
• Booked on first-come, first-served, space available basis

Team Outings and Parties

Team Outing

Are you looking for a great team building opportunity? The Pirates offer discounted tickets to youth hockey groups of ten (10) or more. A team outing with the Pirates can be both entertaining and educational. Watch closely as the Pirates display the fundamentals of hockey at a world class level!

• Best Available Main Deck or Quarter Deck tickets are just $12 for youth hockey groups consisting of ten (10) people or more
• Everyone in your group will be seated together
• Teams will receive videoboard recognition during the game

Pirates All-Star Team Party

Start as low as $395, and include the following:

• Use of private team party room inside the arena for one hour prior to the game
• Fifteen (15) Main Deck Tickets
• Special visits by our mascots: Salty Pete and Crackers
• Party favors for each child in attendance
• Two large pizzas, soda/water and chips to serve 15
• Personalized team cake
• Public Address and video board announcement during the game
• One free Chuck-a-Pie for each player on the team
• $5 More  per Team Member and get  an Access Pass for up to 15 Team Members to watch the Pirates Warm-Ups from the Pirates Team Bench with Portland Pirates Bench Buddies

Bench Buddies

NEW! Do you want to step your group up for the ultimate Youth Hockey Team experience and get in the game? Bring your team down on the ice and watch the Portland Pirates warm-up before the game FROM THE PIRATES TEAM BENCH!  Come down on the ice for all the action at the next Portland Pirates game!

Minimum Number of Participants: Ten (10) Kids and/or Adults
Maximum Number of Participants: Fifteen (15) Kids and/or Adults

Cost:

Youth Hockey-Main Deck: $22 – Includes ticket
MVP Birthday Add-On: $150 (up to 15 participants)
Helmets required (provided), Entire group will either wear skates or sneakers

USA Hockey Member Appreciation Nights

The Pirates and USA Hockey are proud to offer all USA Hockey members, their families, and friends the ability to buy discounted $12 tickets to Portland Pirates home games throughout the year. The Pirates are proud to offer this to all USA Hockey members throughout the State of Maine

Irving Oil Youth Hockey Clinics 

Have your Youth Hockey Player skate with the Pirates Coaches and Players or have them come to one of their practices courtesy of Irving Oil! Each season the Portland Pirates offer three (3) FREE clinics at the Civic Center for area youth hockey players. Pirates players and coaches will coordinate each clinic and work with players on particular skills/drills, culminating with an autograph session with the kids.

Irving Oil Clinics are available to boys and girls ages 5-12 on a first-come, first-served basis

One (1) Pirates Coach and up to four (4) Pirates players will serve as clinic instructors
Group photo to be mailed to all participants

Instructional Program and Player Appearances

Have a few Pirates players assist you on the ice at one of your practices. The Pirates will come to your venue and join you in teaching your players the tricks of the trade!

Available to Youth Hockey Association or Middle School team within 30 miles of downtown Portland. Interest from beyond this 30 mile radius will be given consideration based upon team travel, practice schedule, distance required, etc.

While there is no limit on the number of appearances per Association, the Pirates reserve the right to give each Association equal opportunity to host an instructional appearance. Each appearance comes with an autograph/photo session!
