Three Stars Scholarship
Three Stars Scholarship, Presented by NextGen
The Portland Pirates and NextGen College Investing Plan are proud to extend their partnership into a second season with their successful scholarship program. Again during the 2012-13 school year, local students are encouraged to put their writing skills on display for the ultimate prize of a $1,000 scholarship! The Portland Pirates will award a $1,000 3-Stars Scholarship to a deserving student in each of three grade levels: K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Students will be asked to submit an essay on a topic selected by the Pirates (for the older contestants) or submit a picture (for the younger contestants). Winners are selected prior to the Portland Pirates™ final regular season game and awarded the scholarship at the game. The Pirates and the NextGen College Investing Plan are proud to work together, and intend to continue the program for many years to come to help provide further education to the future of the State of Maine.
