Goal 15 seconds into game 12/18/09 vs. Springfield was just one second shy of the Pirates franchise record for fastest goal to start a game (14 seconds by Mark Murphy 11/24/00 vs. Quebec) . . . played his 100th AHL game 12/6/09 @ Worcester . . . enjoyed his first career two-goal game (and 50th career AHL point) 11/29/09 @ Springfield.
2008-2009:
First AHL point was an assist on 10/25/08 vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton…First AHL goal 10/31/08 at Norfolk Admirals… Tallied a goal the next night as well (11/1/08) to go along with an assist in 5-3 win over Admirals…Scored a goal and an assist 11/21/08 in 3-2 shootout loss at Providence…Scored a goal and an assist in 4-3 loss to Worcester 11/26/2008…
2007-2008:
ERC Ingolstadt (DEL): Eighth in team scoring with 25 points (12+13) and 76 PIMs in 46 games last season... Named the league's Rookie of the Year... Was the youngest player on ERC Ingolstadt.
Career:
Spent two seasons in the QMJHL prior to returning home to play in the German Elite League... From 2005-2007, Schutz scored 96 points (40+56) in 110 games with the Saint John and Wal D'Or... Represented Germany in the 2007 World Junior Championships and 2007 World Championships.
