Portland, Maine - The Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League, in conjunction with the Good Shepherd Food Bank, announced today that through three collection nights at Pirates games during the 2009-10 season, more than 2,500 meals were provided to those that are hungry throughout the State of Maine.

The total included non-perishable food items and monetary donations by fans at three Pirates games during the season.
