Exhibition Action at Portland Ice Arena September 26th and 30th

Portland, Maine - The Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League announced today that tickets are now on sale for two Pirates pre-season games to be played at the Portland Ice Arena.

The Pirates will face off against the Lowell Devils on Saturday, September 26th at 5 p.m. and will meet the University of New Brunswick Reds on Wednesday, September 30th at 7 p.m.

All ages, general admission tickets are only $7 per game and available at the Pirates Office (located at 94 Free Street in Portland), by calling (207) 828-4665 ext. 350 or by visiting www.portlandpirates.com.

In addition to the two exhibition games at the Portland Ice Arena, the Pirates will take on the Manchester Monarchs at 2 p.m. at the Notre Dame Arena in Berlin, NH on Sunday, September 27th.

The Pirates open the 2009-2010 American Hockey League regular season with a pair of road games. Saturday, October 3rd the Pirates will be in Springfield to meet the Falcons followed by a Friday, October 9th game against the River Rats in Albany. Both games can be heard live on Atlantic Coast Radio's WLOB 95.5FM/1310AM beginning with the pre-game show at 6:45 p.m.

The Pirates 2009-2010 home opener will take place on Saturday, October 10th when the Providence Bruins visit the Cumberland County Civic Center for a 7 p.m. start. 2009-2010 Season Ticket Holders can purchase additional tickets for the home opener, as well as all other Pirates home games at the Cumberland County Civic Center, from September 18-24th by calling (207) 775-3548 or visiting the Cumberland County Civic Center Box Office.
