Buffalo, NY - The Buffalo Sabres today announced their 2009 preseason schedule. The team will play six games including two at HSBC Arena. Both home games will begin at 7:00 p.m.

The Sabres will begin their preseason slate at home on September 17 when Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals visit HSBC Arena. The team will hit the road to play in Detroit (September 19) and Washington (September 21) before returning home to host the Toronto Maple Leafs on September 23. The team will conclude their preseason schedule with back-to-back games in Canada when the Sabres visit Montreal (September 26) and Toronto (Sept. 27).

Ticket information for both games at HSBC Arena will be released in the near future.

The Sabres will begin the 2009-2010 regular season at home on Saturday, October 3 when they faceoff against the Montreal Canadiens at 7:00 p.m.
