Pirates Sign Chris Rawlings to Amateur Tryout Contract
 
 
Portland, MainePhoenix Coyotes Assistant General Manager and Portland Pirates General Manager Brad Treliving announced today that the Portland Pirates have signed goaltender Chris Rawlings to an Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO).
 
Rawlings, a 6 foot 5, 220 pound native of North Delta, BC, had been with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. Rawlings appeared in 2 games for Idaho, registering a 0.60 goals against average and a 0.975 save percentage, including a shutout in his first professional start. Prior to signing with Idaho, Rawlings spent 4 years at Northeastern University, compiling a career record of 47-55-16 in 114 games. Rawlings holds the record for career shutouts at Northeastern with 11.
