Portland Pirates Reassign Mark Visentin to Gwinnett (ECHL)
 
 
Portland, MainePhoenix Coyotes Assistant General Manager and Portland Pirates General Manager Brad Treliving announced today that the Portland Pirates have reassigned goaltender Mark Visentin from the Portland Pirates to the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL.
 
The 6-foot-2, 205 pound Visentin appeared in 22 games with the Pirates, notching a record of 11-9-1 with a 2.85 goals against average and a .909 save percentage.
 
Visentin is in his first professional season after spending the last 4 season with Niagara of the OHL, playing in 166 games and posting a record of 89-55-16 with a 2.75 goals against average and a .911 save percentage during his OHL career.
 
Visentin represented Canada in the 2011 and 2012 World Junior Championships, appearing in 8 games overall and winning a Silver medal in 2011 and a Bronze medal in 2012.
 
The 20-year-old native of Waterdown, Ontario was the Coyotes’ 2nd choice (27th overall) in the 2010 Entry Draft.
