Coyotes Assign Louis Domingue to Gwinnett

Saco, Maine – Phoenix Coyotes Assistant General Manager and Portland Pirates General Manager Brad Treliving announced today that the Phoenix Coyotes have assigned goaltender Louis Domingue from the Portland Pirates to the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL.

Domingue has appeared in 3 games for the Pirates this season, starting Sunday’s game against Providence, where he made a career high 43 saves. In his three appearances, Domingue had a record of 1-0-0 with a 2.40 goals against average and a .934 save percentage.In three starts with Gwinnett this season, Domingue has a 3.01 goals against average and a .887 save percentage with a record of 0-2-0.

The 6 foot 3, 200 pound native of Mont St-Hilaire, Quebec was selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in round 5 (138 overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

The Pirates get back to action Friday for the first game of a two game series as they face the Norfolk Admirals in Norfolk. Puck drops at 7:30 PM for the first matchup between the two teams since the 2010-11 season. The game can be heard on the Pirates flagship stations WPEI 95.5/95.9 FM as well as WEZR AM 1240 in the Lewiston/Auburn area and WTME AM 780/1450 in Oxford County.
