Recently named to 2015 AHL All-Star Roster, Alex Bolduc has made his return to the Pirates known. Bolduc previously played for the Pirates in the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 seasons before leaving for the Chicago Wolves last season. He was a fan favorite and star on the ice: named the most valuable player of the 2012-2013 season and was named to the Pirates’ 20th Anniversary First Team. The 29-year-old from Montreal, Quebec recently marked his five-hundredth professional game in the Pirates victory over the Providence Bruins.
Totaling at 23 points with 11 goals and 12 assists this season, Bolduc is currently the Pirates’ leading scorer. In a recent game against the Manchester Monarchs, Bolduc helped pull the Pirates to a victory in a shootout. The game brought the Pirates their fifth straight win on December 5, and pulled them within two points of the Monarchs for the number one position in the Atlantic Division. Bolduc’s accomplishments have supported the team throughout the season, and we anticipate more accomplishments to come for this all-star!
