Irving Oil Presents A Day of Hockey:
To benefit The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center
On Saturday, November 3rd, 2012 the Pirates will hold “A Day of Hockey”, presented by Irving Oil, to benefit The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center. This will be in conjunction with “Try Hockey For Free day” that takes place across America this same day.
The night before will be opening night in Portland. Get the taste of hockey Friday night with our opening ceremonies and then grab your skates on Saturday for our Day of Hockey!
This charitable day consists of all different types of hockey and is championed by the Huskies Youth Hockey Organization. Each team that participates contributes to the cause by selling Pirates tickets and donating a portion of every ticket sold to the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center. The event has raised more than $72,000 to benefit the BBCH. Day of Hockey runs from 8:00am through 5:30 pm.

8:00 – 9:45 am – GPOHL Old-timer’s Tournament
9:50 – 10:15 am – Maine Med Broomball
10:30 am – 12:00 pm – Pirates Team Practice
12:30 – 1:30 pm – Girls Hockey Clinic by Maine Girls Ice Hockey Association (Free!)
2:45 – 3:45 pm – Try Hockey for Free
4:00-6:30 pm – Huskies Youth Hockey
