Jim Beaudoin
Director, Corporate Sales
Jim Beaudoin joined the Pirates staff during the 2007-2008 season as the team's Director
of Corporate Sales. Prior to joining the Pirates through Front Row Marketing Services,
Beaudoin enjoyed a career in Minor League Baseball. In 2005-2006 he was the General
Manager of the Connecticut Defenders, the Eastern League Double "A" affiliate of the
San Francisco Giants. With the Defenders (formerly the Norwich Navigators), Beaudoin
led the way as the team underwent an extensive rebranding effort which enhanced the
team's connection with the Southeastern Connecticut region.
Prior to his job with the
Defenders, Beaudoin was the one of the youngest General Managers in professional baseball
when he was named General Manager of the Columbus (GA) Catfish, an L.A. Dodgers affiliate
(now Tampa Bay). During his lone season there, he increased the attendance by more than
300% and added more than $400,000 to the organization's bottom line.
Before Columbus, he moved up the corporate ladder with the Portland Sea Dogs from 1996-2004,
starting as an intern, Beaudoin held many positions in the organization including Director
of Group Sales, Director of the Speaker's Bureau and Director of Stadium Operations until he
ultimately became the Assistant General Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing at the
age of 26.
Beaudoin is a proud graduate of the Sport Management program at the University of
Massachusetts at Amherst.
