It’s your chance to be a hockey champion!

The Portland Pirates have teamed up with the Labatt Blue, the AHL and nine other teams for the 2013 Labatt Blue AHL Bubble Hockey Tournament of Champion! The tournament is taking place in three stages. During the months of February and March, each participating team, including the Pirates, are hosting a series of qualifying nights in local sports bars, restaurants and taverns serving Labatt. A total of eight qualifiers from each city will advance to the team finals, which will be held in AHL arenas to determine each team champion. The Portland Pirates Labatt Blue Team Finals will be played live during the March 23rd Pirates home game at the CCCC.  Following the Team Finals, Team Champions will be invited to compete in the Tournament Finals at the Times Union Center in Albany NY, on April 21.  The Puck Drops this Wednesday at Thatchers….don’t miss your chance to be a hockey champion!

Entry is Free with no purchase necessary and players must be 21 or older. To register, sign up at the venue at least 15 minutes before the games start.
